Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan national cricket team on Thursday beat national cricket team of Hong Kong in Asian Premier Cup.
The country’s national cricket team won the toss in one day competitions of the Asian Premier Cup held in Malaysia and was chosen for balling. Hong Kong’s team by losing all its players made 216 runs in the match in which Afghanistan team could easily beat Hong Kong’s team. Osman Ghani and Hashmatullah Shahidi participated for the first time in the country’s national team. Osman Ghani was declared as the best player in the match.
Afghanistan national cricket team also beat yesterday United Arab Emirates national cricket team. The country’s national team started playing against UAE team and made 302 runs in 50 over, but UAE cricket team could not complete the target and by losing its all players in 43 over, the team could make only 232 runs. Meanwhile, Minister of Information and Culture Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen congratulated the victories to all people of Afghanistan, wishing further success to the team.
