Kabul (BNA) As Taliban attacks increased in parts of the country, the Ministry of Defense responded to recent Taliban movements with four air missions.
According to BNA, the Ministry of Defense announced today that the air force has carried out four air missions in four provinces in the past 24 hours, inflicting heavy casualties on Taliban.
The Ministry of Defense says the operation was carried out in Kandahar, Balkh, Helmand and Nangarhar, killing or wounding more than 70 militants, but did not specify how many were killed or wounded.
Meanwhile, Assadullah Khaled acting minister of National Defense Ministry said yesterday: "As the talks in Doha began, the Taliban increased their attacks in order to gain points at the negotiating table."
Khalid emphasizes that the Taliban will not gain anything with their adventures.
