Kabul (BNA) In line with presidential order issued on the 93rd anniversary of the country’s independence, the 28th Assad, 20 female inmates were set free from Badam Bagh prison yesterday, Azizullah Sarbaz the director of commission for reviewing cases of the detainees said.
There were 193 detainees in Badam Bagh jail, 20 out of these have been set free while the term of 29 others got decreased.
Altogether is the country, some 500 women have been held in prisons which lower than in any country of the region which speaks of low rate involvement of women in criminal activities in the country.
