Drinkable Water Supplied for Dozens of Maidan Wardak Citizens

Madian Shar (BNA) Within construction of the water supply network, dozens of families in Madian Wardak get access to safe drinkable water for the first time.

The network canals have built with a total cost of 3.7 million Afghanis with financial support of the Swedish Committee in Afghanistan in Nerkh district.

Mawlawi Wahidullah Rashid, director of rural rehabilitation and development in Maidan Wardak, told BNA that with the construction of the network, 150 families would have access to safe drinkable water for the first time.

Villagers in Nerkh district expressed happiness with the construction of the water supply network and say they have been suffering from disease for years due to the use of dirty military water.

The director of Maidan Wardak Rural Rehabilitation and Development says that they are trying to provide safe drinkable water to the citizens of the province by enlisting the help of the Islamic Emirate and domestic and international aid organization.
