Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and accompanied delegation performed Umrah the other day in Jeddah city of Saudi Arabia, a presidential statement said, adding that the president was welcomed by the city’s governor Amir Mashal.
According to the statement, the president and accompanied delegation went to Mecca and performed Umrah in Baitullah Sharif, praying for the soul of the martyred of the country’s security forces and asking urgent recovery from the court of Almighty Allah for the injured. The president and the delegation also prayed for the durable peace in Afghanistan, unity among Afghans and happiness of all the Muslim communities, the statement concluded.
