Judicial Committee Holds Session

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by second vice president and head of the committee Sarwar Danesh, the session of cabinet’s judicial committee was held and modality of researching and courts’ sessions in central prison and custodies law for prevention of child-abusing were discussed.
In the session, request of general directorate of prisons and related to holding researching and courts sessions by attorney general office and supreme court for addressing security crimes and criminals relevant to drugs in Pul-e-Charkhi prison was discussed.
After discussion related to the issue, the request was rejected, but it was decided in exceptional cases which would be identified by security officials and directorate of prisons should be suggested to supreme court high council and the council would address the particular case based on its authorization.
In the session, the committee also discussed the draft law on prevention of child-abusing suggested by independent human rights commission and after reviewing and discussing on the draft law, it was decided that for importance of the issue, the ministry of justice should include parts related to its complaints in child support law and other parts should be included in punishment code.
