Drug Trafficking Dropped to Zero Via Kabul Intl Airport: MoTA

KABUL(BNA) Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation says that over the last eight months, bulk cash smuggling, gold via Kabul airport has been paralyzed and drug trafficking has dropped to zero.

The security forces and technical personnel of Kabul Airport are using their facilities to thwart bulk cash smuggling, gold or narcotics drugs, and efforts in this range are unending in intensity said Imam Al-deen Ahmadi, spokesman of the Ministry.

He adds, that flights to the utmost countries of the world remain normal and there are 22 daily flights over Kabul airport.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the Islamic Emirate recently delivered a decree banning the cultivation, sale, and trafficking of narcotics in Afghanistan.

The Islamic Emirate has said that after the decree is issued, the cultivation, production, sale, and trafficking of narcotics will be considered illegal, and violators will be dealt with legally.
