Herat City (BNA) Afghan security forces succeeded to discover and confiscate two rounds of roadside mines from two districts of western Herat province.
The mines had been planted by enemies of the country in relevant areas of Pashton Zarghoon and Adraskan districts of the province.
No individual or groups has commented regarding the mine plantings so far.
Security source from Herat in a telephonic contact with BNA reporter claimed that Taliban militants are responsible for the mine plantings.
Efforts underway to identify and capture the perpetrators of the mine plantings, the source added.
