Cultural Committee To Organize “Martyr Week” Holds Meeting

Kabul (BNA) The cultural committee of commission for organizing (Martyr Week) with deputy information and culture minister on publication affairs, Simin Hassanzada held meeting yesterday, BNA reported.
In remarks at the meeting, she highlighted the importance of Martyr Week, calling upon media outlets to reflect the historic occasion.
It was decided at the meeting that both the government and media outlets by organizing roundtable discussions and interviews highlight the event.
The Radio Television of Afghanistan (RTA) in addition to its programs should broadcast and air the speeches of the National Hero after news bulletin service at 08:00 pm.
It was also decided that the government-run newspapers in the course of Martyr Week to publish parts of the speeches of the National Hero Ahmad Shah Massoud everyday throughout the week.
The minister for Hajj and Auqaf was tasked to instruct the prayer leaders to speak about Martyr Week in the mosques and religious centers in the Kabul and provinces.
It was also decided in the meeting that the ministry for labor, social affairs, martyrs and disabled to mark the day in the provinces in cooperation with local organs.
