Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai said that the Afghan government abides by the conditions laid by the Traditional Loya Jirga as regards signing of the strategic long-term cooperation treaty with the US.
Answering a question in his press conference, president Karzai noted that the Afghan government is obliged to take into account the advice of the Traditional Loya Jirga advice in signing the strategic treaty.
He added that as per those advice and guidance, the US should fully respect Afghanistan’s national sovereignty in the strategic cooperation treaty, no Afghan be arrested by the foreigners and all the prisons under the control of the foreign troops be delivered to the Afghan government and the night operation by the foreign troops is stopped.
He pointed that when agreement reaches on these conditions, a strategic cooperation document will be signed between the two nations.
