Afghanistan, Iran Hold First Joint Border Meeting

Herat (BNA) First joint border meeting between Afghan border forces and Iran was held in Islam-Qala border.
In the meeting colonel Mohammad Joma Adeel border zone commander reported from existing of good relations among the border forces and asked extension and promotion cooperation between the two sides.
General Najib Poya Iranian border police assured that cooperation level between border police of the two countries will be further boosted.
In the meeting the two sides agreed for seriously fight against illegal human trafficking across the border, smuggling and drug trafficking based on international norms and principles.
In the end of the meeting, agreement was signed, committing to develop cooperation.
Colonel Mohammad Joma Adeel border zone commander also visited from different parts of Islam-Qala border and praised efforts of new officials of this center in the cohesion affairs.
