Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai congratulated the people of Afghanistan for receiving award from Federation International De Football Association (FIFA) and called it good news for Afghanistan at the start of 2014. Presidential press office stated BNA,
last night Afghanistan received the International Football Fair Award 2013 from the FIFA for observance of international football norms.
While congratulating the people of Afghanistan on this great success, President Karzai stressed that contrary to incorrect publicity with respect to the year 2014, Afghanistan started this year with great honor.
Hamid Karzai expressed that Afghanistan can attain more successes during the current year in different spheres.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen Minister of Information and Culture and Youth Affairs, congratulated the International Football Fair Play Award to the Afghan Football Federation and the people of Afghanistan and all the country’s athletes.
Encouraging them further in his message, Dr. Raheen said that the people of Afghanistan should be proud of the ability of the country’s young athletes.
He added that despite immense problems and deprivation emanating from the war and invasion, it is the youth of the country who bring honors to the country and we should praise and appreciate their bravery, strong talents and strivings.
