“Railway Extension Linking Tajikistan, Afghanistan And Turkmenistan Will Move As Planned”: Marshal Fahim

Kabul (BNA) Marshal Mohammad Qaseem Fahim, First Vice-President met a number of elders, officials and tribal influentials of Kunduz province on Wednesday.
At the meeting while Mohammad Anwar Jagdalek, Governor of Kunduz was also present, Marshal Fahim dwelt on the economic and agricultural importance of Kunduz province said that we need security and stability for our progress in the country.
He said under the present conditions our people need friendship among each other so they can overcome the problems.
He noted that the government of Afghanistan strives to realize projects for ensuring prosperity and welfare of the people.
The governor and two elders of Kunduz province spoke and explained the problems they are encountering and asked for government support towards follow up of work on the Khanabad power dam and the program for passage of north railway line as per its original program from Kunduz province.
They added that Kunduz is an agricultural-industrial province and with the passage of the north railway line more values will be added to the prestige of that province.
He assured the elders that the railway program that is linking Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan will move as per its program and the needs of the Kunduz people are also taken into account.
