Thirty-four Taliban Militants Killed in Kandahar Latest Strike

Kandahar (BNA) Thirty-four Taliban insurgents have been killed in the latest airstrikes in Kandahar.

The Taliban were targeted last night in Panjwai, Shah Wali Kot and Zheri districts.

The Taliban were killed in the airstrikes, Atal Corps in south of the country said in a news release.

The corps said the Taliban intended to attack military bases in Zheri, Shah Wali Kot and Panjwai districts, targeting by the air force.

No one has been arrested in connection with the bombings.

According to another report, the security forces prevented a series of explosions in Kandahar by detecting and defusing hundreds of mines.
