Five Bridges Opened On Kokcha River, Asphalting Of Darwaz Circular Road Starts

Kabul (BNA) Five vehicular roads were opened on the Kokcha River in the Darwazha district of Badakhshan.
The ceremony was attended by architect Wais Barmak Minister of Rehabilitation and Rural Development, Dr. Omar Zakhaiwal Minister of Finance, Mustafa Zahir General Director of Environment Department, the governor and some heads of provincial departments and people’s deputies at the parliament.
The bridges were constructed at the cost of USD1, 419,000 from the development budget of the ministry with the financial cooperation of GTZ and Agha Khan Foundation in 18 months.
With the building of these bridges and completion of the circular road the districts of Sheghnan, Mahenme, Nassi and Shaki through districts of Kofab will be connected with the Faizabad city.
Work on building of 104 km circular road of Darwazha along with its attached structures will be constructed at the total cost of USD4.5 million from the budget of the ministry of rehabilitation and rural development was opened as well.
With completion of these projects the problems of the people of the province will be resolved.
