Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in a meeting Wednesday with officials for MoI and a Chinese company responsible for construction new Kabul-Jalalabad road ‘Bagrami-Sapari-Surkhroad’ discussed on maintain security of the road.
In the meeting, the Chinese company, stopping construction work on the road due to insecurity, asked for maintaining security of its employees and workers along the road, assuring that construction work on the road would be resumed if their concern was addressed.
President Ghani instructed officials of public protection department for interior ministry to soon adopt necessary measures in connection with maintaining security of the company’s workers and facilitate construction work of the road by the company. It is worth mentioning that the issue had been shared by Nangarhar elders and youth in a session presided over by the country’s President who promised the issue would be seriously addressed.
