Military Chopper Crashes in N. Afghanistan

Mazar-e-Sharif City (BNA) A military helicopter while transferring Afghan security forces crashed in northern Balkh province this morning.
The chopper had plan to travel from Shaheen Army Corps (located in Balkh) to Faryab province that crashed due to technical failure.
Mohammad Hanif Rezaee spokesman of Shaheen army corps told BNA, five military personnel have been rescued and efforts underway to rescue others trapped security forces.
The chopper belonged to a foreign company; the company is responsible for transferring military personnel to battlefield and equipping security troops in north of the country.
At least 10 security forces and three pilots were reportedly on board when the helicopter crashed.
