Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai met with French Interior Minister Manuel Vallace at the presidential palace yesterday.
The French Minister is visiting Afghanistan in order to talk on implementation of French commitment towards training of police as per the two countries cooperation agreement.
The French minister informed president Karzai about the cooperation between the two nations and added that France will render cooperation with the police of Afghanistan in training them for the struggle against criminals and narcotics areas.
President Karzai said that Afghans consider France as their longtime historical friend and we are hopeful that France will continue its assistance to Afghanistan and preserve its independent position in the light of its values and further expand its cooperation with Afghanistan.
