MoFA Summons Iranian Ambassador Over Killing of Unarmed Afghans On Border

Kabul (BNA) The Afghan Government summoned Mr. Abulfazl Zohrevand, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to express its strong protest and objection against the killing and injuring of a number of unarmed Afghans who has entered into the territory of Iran to seek work and asked him to provide and explanation in this regard.
The Deputy Foreign Minister addressing the protest to the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran said, shooting at unarmed Afghan nationals who were going to Iran for seeking work is against religious, culture and good neighborliness values.
The Deputy Foreign Minister said that the border which is to be the border of peace, friendship and brotherhood must not turn into a killing place of unarmed Afghan workers.
