MoIC Prioritizes Supporting of Artists, Culturists, Dr. Sadat

Kabul (BNA) Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Dr. Kamal Sadat in a meeting yesterday with representatives of Afghan culturists to Europe asserted that the information and culture ministry is ready to cooperate with Afghan artists and culturists living abroad and regards it as its priority.
In the meeting, representative of the Afghan culturists to Europe Dr. Mohammad Sayed briefed related to academic, cultural and art activities of the Afghans living abroad, adding that a number of associations and organizations established and led by Afghans were also operating there. He further said that such associations needed cooperation of the MoIC and Afghan political attaches abroad. Acting minister of information and culture said that MoIC through its cultural attaches at a number of Afghanistan embassies to foreign countries and through political attaches were making effort to support Afghan culturists and artists and would assist them in publication of their academic, cultural and execution of art program and the respective ministry would remain as an active partner of Afghan cultural associations abroad. According to another report, acting minister of information and culture asked officials and directors of the ministry to report their budgetary and monthly expenses to leading body of the ministry.
