Afghanistan, Iraq Victim of Terrorism, Fundamentalism, Khalili

Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Karim Khalili Second Vice-President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan had an introductory meeting with new Iraqi ambassador to Afghanistan.
At the meeting the Iraqi ambassador called the visit of Iraqi foreign minister important and emphasized on further deepening of ties between the two nations.
Khalili also emphasized on the further expansion of mutual cooperation between the two nations in political, economic and cultural spheres. Khalili expressed the hope that the residents of both countries overcome the problems of terrorism and extremism.
The Iraqi ambassador expressed the readiness of that country for issuing of visa to Afghans wishing to visit Iraqi religious shrines. He asked the Afghan related organs to cooperate with the Iraqi side in issuance of visa for the Afghan pilgrims, however, attributed direct flight to Iraq conditional to the Iranian government agreement for the reason of using the Iranian air space.
Khalili said that the Afghan related ministries will follow up and render possible cooperation for facilitating visa and usage of the Iranian air space for direct flight from Kabul to Iraq.
