FAO to Assist Kunduz Farmers

KUNDUZ (BNA) The Food and Agriculture Organization started the process of distributing aid to thousands of farmers in Kunduz.

24,000 farmers will receive modified seeds and chemical fertilizers from the organization in recent days, according to FAO reports.

The provincial head of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Kunduz Mawlavi Amanullah Hussan told BNA that the process of distributing these aid is underway.

He said that with assistance the farmers of Kunduz will be able to extent in the direction of production of agricultural products and prosperity of agriculture.

The farmers welcomed the support of the Food and Agriculture organization and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in the production of agricultural products.
