President Ghani: Those Who Mistreat Doctors Will Be Prosecuted

Kabul (BNA) President Ghani met with the leadership of the Ministry of Public Health and discussed the management of the third wave of COVID-19 and the government’s future actions in this regard.
BNA quoting Presidential Palace reported, first, President Ghani said, 700,000 doses of corona vaccine would arrive from China in near future and that steps had been taken to provide the oxygen needed from inside and outside.
Referring to the third wave of COVID-19, President Ghani said, beside Ministry of Public Health, we should all share in the responsibility and that the leadership of the government is ready to help at any time to increase coordination and cooperation.
The president said the government is committed to protect the dignity of doctors, and those who have been mistreated will be prosecuted.
Then, Acting Minister of Public Health reassured the targeted implementation of the corona vaccine, saying that a regular plan has been drawn-up to fill the oxygen shortage in the hospitals and a number of hospitals will be connected to the central oxygen system and the rest will be connected.
At the end of the meeting, the President approved a number of proposals from the Ministry of Public Health and the relevant working committee regarding social restrictions, and gave the necessary instructions to the Governor of Kabul and the National Development Company to start working on projects to create daily work opportunities.
