
KABUL (BNA): The governor of Faryab, Damla Mohammad in a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, called for the construction of irrigation dams and provision of drinking water for the residents of Maimana, the provincial capital.
According to a statement from the office of the Deputy Prime Minister, issues of providing health services to the people of Faryab, building transportation routes, and providing drinking water to the residents of that province were the main topics of the meeting.
The meeting was also participated by Makhdoom Mohammad Alam Rabbani, Police Chief of Ghazni province.
Deputy Prime Minister Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi praised the performance of local officials in Faryab and Ghazni but stressed on further efforts to address the existing challenges of the people of these regions.
Mr. Hanafi called access to health services, clean drinking water and construction of transportation routes the right of the people and the obligation of the Islamic Emirate to provide them.
