Kabul (BNA) Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Zalmai Rassoul held a farewell meeting with the Ambassador of France Mr. Bernard Bajolet, whose tenure in Kabul has ended, at the Foreign Ministry, according to the ministry’s press office.
The two sides discussed various issues including the bilateral relationship between Afghanistan and France as well as the importance of the implementation of the Afghanistan-France Friendship Treaty that was signed last year.
Expressing appreciation for the activities of the French Ambassador during his assignment in Kabul, Dr. Rassoul wished him success in his future assignments.
Mr. Bajolet expressed satisfaction about his time in Afghanistan as well as his desire to visit Afghanistan in the future as a tourist.
Mr. Bajolet and his Embassy colleagues also attended a farewell lunch hosted by Dr. Rassoul, the statement concluded.
