Bamyan Introduced Cultural Capital of SAARC In 2015

Kabul (BNA) With the hectic efforts of the ministry for foreign affairs and concerned bodies the Bamyan city has been introduced as cultural capital of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) in 2015.
According to BNA, to finalize the proposal, a delegation of the cultural center of the association visited Kabul on June 14 and held meeting with minister for information and culture Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen and senior officials and exchanged views on the modalities of inauguration of Bamyan city as the first cultural capital of SAARC in January 2015 and launching cultural programs in Bamyan city. Similarly the cultural delegation of SAARC after visiting Bamyan city from June 19 to June 20 announced Bamyan on June 21 as the cultural capital of SAARC for the year of 2015. The city of Bamyan is expected to witness holding a series of cultural programs including exhibitions, seminars, music and local dances, industrial exhibition, food exhibition and cultural shows the SAARC member states.
