Gen. Anwari Laid To Rest

Kabul (BNA) Coffin of Gen. Sayed Hussain Anwari, advisor to President on military affairs and chairman of Hezb-e-Harakat Islami Afghanistan was buried in a particular military ceremony in Afshar hill of Darul Aman.
The deceased Gen. Anwary’s funeral prayer attended by chief executive deputy Mohammad Muhaqiq, members of cabinet, national assembly, ANA chief of staff, HPC senior deputy Mohammad Karim Khalili, a number of jihadi and political figures and a large number of the country’s citizens, was held in Khatamun Nabiyeen mosque and then buried in Afshar hill of Kabul’s Darul Aman.
In burying ceremony of Gen. Anwari’s dead body, the message of President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani was read out by advisor to President Dr. Danesh Bakhtyari.
In the message, the country’s President regarded Gen. Sayed Hussain Anwari as famous personality of jihad and resistance of the people of Afghanistan and asserted that the deceased had been famous as one of top jihadi commander spending most of his life in fighting against invaders.
In his message, President Ghani praised the deceased Gen. Anwari for his role in jihad and resistance, diplomacy and administration, considering his death as loss. The deceased Gen. Hussain Anwari was born in 1956 in Shaikh Ali district of Parwan and passed away in a hospital in India at the age of 60 due to illness he was suffering. He had served as minister of agriculture, irrigation and livestock, governor of Kabul and Herat, member of lower house of parliament and finally as senior advisor to President on military affairs.
