Mehtarlam (BNA) Charbagh water canal of Alinegar district, Laghman province put into exploration by Dr. Fazlullah Mojaddidi governor of Laghman province yesterday.
The canal has been extended by Water and Energy Ministry at the cost of 25 million Afghanis.
The head of water arrangement department of Laghman said BNA the canal brings 10,000 jiribs of agricultural land under irrigation and also ensures water needed by approximately 1000 families in Charbagh region, Mehtarlam city.
According to the source, the canal with 14 km length and 5 meters width has been extended in to the district.
