Voluntary Repatriation of Afghan Refugees Starts

Kabul (BNA) The voluntary repatriation of Afghan refugees from Pakistan to their motherland will begin today.
According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) spokesman, 380,000 registered Afghan refugees were repatriated to Afghanistan from different areas of Pakistan last year.
A repatriation center has been opened at Chamkani, near Peshawar, to register those refugees who want to go back to Afghanistan.
UNHCR is providing $400 to each returning Afghan refugees besides food and other basic items.
