Kabul (BNA) The Ministry of National Defense of Afghanistan (MoND) says that the security forces of Afghanistan are capable to maintain country-wide security and independently defend from their country.
The authorities of this ministry assure that making a precise program in 2015 for Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) would halter the attacks and destructive plans of armed opponents.
Head of operation department of Ministry of National Defense (MoND) Gen. Afzal Aman told media that during last year (2013) Afghans proved that they have capability to shoulder the security responsibility independently. Gen. Aman hoped that considering this, ANSF to make armed opponents disappointed the latters for reaching to their sinister goals.
ANSF are determining to make their own special plans for independently defending of their country and we hope with the assistance of people, this ordeal be met in 2015 and the sinister goals of the enemies of Afghanistan be changed into disappointment, because, they want tension in Afghanistan. It is planned that as of Jan. 1st, 2015, the new mission of NATO under its decisive support that would completely be non-combat mission, to begin in Afghanistan.
With the beginning of new mission, the NATO forces would concentrate on training, consultation and financial support of ANSF. All security responsibilities would be delivered to ANSF. The MoND of Afghanistan assured to perform this responsibility in a good manner, but need is felt for further equipment of these forces. At the same time, a number of senators also emphasized that international community should implement its commitments based on supporting of ANSF.
One of senators, Ali Akbar Jamshedi said in the connection that the people of Afghanistan want the international community to continue its financial and military support as well as training of ANSF according to signing of security agreement with Afghanistan. If the former do so, the ANSF would fight alone against terrorists and Taliban in a good manner.
It is due the ANSF would shoulder the security responsibility and promote independently combat operations against terrorists and Taliban after three days sans military support of international forces, while now, insecurity has been increased in some provinces especially in border regions of the country. A number of military experts say that if the ANSF not to be equipped and no attention be paid to air forces, it’s difficult the ANSF to gain success in war on terror as it is necessary.
The people of Afghanistan also expect from international community to support ANSF and provide them with professional training.
Similarly, they demanded from international colleagues to lay down necessary weapons in their disposals so to fight in a good manner with armed opponents. Our countrymen believe that now, the ANSF are combating against the government armed opponents and this combat is continuing in Dangam district of Kunar and inflicted heavy blows to the enemies of Afghanistan. This means that the ANSF are capable to promote combat operation well. This is possible in a time that the international community to support ANSF in any condition and equip them. This is in a time that a great part of ANSF saw necessary professional training by international community. It is hoped through this, to inflict crashing blows to the enemies.
