KABUL (BNA) The country’s Foreign Ministry, in a statement said that the first group of Afghans trapped in war in Sudan were evacuated.
Following Consecutive efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the cooperation of Saudi Arabia, they were able to evacuate the first group of Afghans trapped in Sudan’s war, the Afghanistan ministry of foreign affairs said in a statement.
The evacuated Afghan citizens transferred to the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and will be transferred to the country shortly from there, the ministry added.
The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan thanked Saudi Arabia cooperation on the matter, in its statement.
The ministry said that remining Afghan citizens will be evacuate safely from Suden as soon as possible.
