Kabul (BNA) The House of People summoned the ministers for economy, agriculture, irrigation and livestock, commerce and industries as well as National Norm and Standard Chief over hike of prices in the country, the other day.
With chairman of the house, Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi on the chair, the parliamentarians also discussed the election standoff, tearing out the poster of president Karzai by Dr. Abdullah Abdullah’s supporters in the Loya Jirga tent and slammed it. Members of the house of people also pointed out that holding civilized protest is the right of every citizen.
However, they pointed out any step which leads to tension is condemnable and should be avoided. The announcement of Dr. Abdullah to announce parallel government has been criticized by the parliamentarians, noting Afghans are against collapse of the system and disintegration of the country.
The lawmakers also said that the people should wait for the final results of the elections.
Members of the house of people also stressed that the leadership of both the electoral teams to sit down with the government officials and don’t allow that the achievements have been made over the past 13 years to be spoiled; otherwise, the international community will give up support to Afghanistan.
