First Jihadi School Opened in Takhar

KABUL (BNA) The first jihadi school was inaugurated on Monday at the Takhar Technical and Vocational Institution in the city of Taloqan, the center of Takhar.

In a ceremony held on the occasion with the participation of Mawlawi Mohsen Hashemi, Deputy Minister of Interior, heads of government institutions, clerics, and media.

The Deputy Minister of Interior said that a jihadi school was established in Takhar based on the Amir Al-Momneen decree.

In this school the religious center of Islamic sciences in research and specialized method, he added.

He called on all scholars in Takhar to make effective use of all the facilities of this center for educating the youth in Islamic sciences.

Mawlawi Subhanullah, one of the scholars of Takhar, stated his appreciation to the leadership of the Islamic Emirate for the establishment of a jihadi school in that province and called it an effective step toward protecting the religion of Islam and the spread of Islamic sciences.

At the end of the ceremony, the first lesson of the hadith course was taught to the audience by Mawlawi Sobhanullah for half an hour.

The Takhar Technical and Vocational Institution, which has been transferred to the Jihadi School, perilously trains 236 young men and women in the fields of electrical engineering, construction, car repair, and computer engineering.

A number of those students asked the Takhar authorities to provide another place to continue their studies so that they would not be destined.
