Kabul (BNA) First vice president Mohammad Younus Qanooni received the governor of Balkh province Atta Mohammad Noor and parliamentarians from the province, here Sunday.
According to BNA, in the meeting with governor Noor, the vice president said that the people of Afghanistan overlooking the security threats and by their vast participation demonstrated their support to democracy.
Qanooni also noted that the high turnout on the election days had been hailed by the international community and eventually displayed the fact that Afghans want peace and stability in their country. In his remarks, governor Noor besides briefing the vice president on security and development said that the people believe that the transparent result of the presidential elections is essential for strengthening peace and security in the country.
