Kabul (BNA) One month before, a report was published in media that three neighboring countries of Afghanistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan to begin the construction and establishment of a great project railway extension.
Now, according to this report, the first meeting of working group of the railway project of Afghanistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan in the name of (ATT) is begun in April 20th of current year in Ishqabad, the capital city of Turkmenistan.
It is mentionable that on the basis of memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed among presidents of the said countries in Nauroze of currently year in Ishqabad, the first working group of this project, through holding working professional meeting, the experts exchanged views on regular working program which would repeatedly be held in the future. It is said that in next 15 days, the first design and agreement would be provided and surrendered to the abovementioned countries for its studying so in upcoming meeting be finalized and signed. Additionally, the funding resources, regular program and the schedule of scientific, working and professional cadres of three countries, to be arranged. Thousands unemployed youth would be employed and the level of economy of people would be enhanced. This project of railway would cover seven provinces of the country. Previously.at the length of 75 km, the first railway is established between Hairatan city and Mazar-i-Sharif that is active today. It is, mentionable that at the era of Ghazni Amanullah Khan with the length of eight km a railway was established between Darul Aman and Demazang. This was a good move and had a political, economic and transport worthy. The new project of railway has economic worthy for three fraternal and neighboring nations. This project also plays its role in further recognition of the peoples of three countries as well as through this, the exchange of exporting items such as dry and fresh fruits, carpet, handicraft and different utensil produced locally can be exported to the said countries and though them to Russia, other nations and even to Europe. In such a way, we would rescue in some extent from necessity of Pakistan and Iran. This project is in our benefit economically and politically. We hope this railway to be extended to other parts of the country and help our neighbors as well and be a messenger of friendship among the latters.
