LASHKARGAH CITY (BNA) At least 14 armed oppositions were killed during a military operation led by Afghan security forces in southern Helmand province this morning.
The ministry of operation has started this morning in various parts of Lashkargah city the provincial capital of the province and ongoing.
Senior commander of Afghan national army in the south of the country told BNA reporter, 14 anti-government militias were killed and their several hideouts have been destroyed during the military operation so far.
It has been said, there were no damages on parts of civilians and Afghan security personnel during the operation.
According to another report, two weapon depots belonged to Taliban fighters have been discovered by Afghan security forces in Garashak district of the province.
Security official in Helmand says, some heavy and light weapons have been seized from the depots.
