Afghan Security Forces Retake Chahar Dara District of Kundoz From Taliban

Kunduz (BNA) Chahar Dara District has been retaken from Taliban after severe clashes by Afghan security forces.
Syeed Sarwar Hosaini spokesman of Kunduz security directorate told BNA massive parts of the district were cleared from existing of Taliban, they are in the control of government compounds including the district’s police HQ and governor’s office.
He added that dozens of Taliban have been killed and injured in the operation backed by air strikes.
According to Hosaini, clearance operation against Taliban is still in progress by security forces.
He added air and ground operations continued for killing of enemies and now, north regions of Kunuz city including Pul-e-Ahchen were cleared from Taliban and Shir Khan Border public highway is also open after 15 days on traffic.
