JALALABAD (BNA) Monsoon rains hit badly Nangarhar center Jalalabad, which caused human and financial losses.
Monsoon rains caused flash floods that killed a person in Batti Kot of Nangarhar and 3 people missing and more than 100 houses were destroyed.
Local officials in Nangarhar told BNA that thousands of acres of farmland, including government farms, were destroyed, and roads and bridges were also destroyed by the flood.
Hundreds of acres of land were destroyed along with the destruction of tens of houses in the districts of Spin Ghar, Hasrak, and some other districts, and also tens of properties were washed away, officials said.
Some main roads were temporarily closed in the Nazarabad area on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway.
An electricity pylon was destroyed, that electricity was cut off in some areas of the city Sarah Rood.
