Kabul (BNA) Afghan National Security Forces ANSF launching cleansing operation in some parts of the country killed 61 armed insurgents.
Defense ministry press office told BNA, ANSF for elimination of armed insurgents conducting cleansing operation with cooperation of artillery and air forces on relevant areas of Urozgan, Paktika, Herat, Farah, Ghor, Balkh, Jawzjan, Samangan, Kunduz and Helmand provinces killed 61 insurgents and wounded dozens others.
In the operations some weapons, heavy ammunition and other military equipment were seized.
According to another report, during the operations 8 national army soldiers were martyred.
