Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has met members of the families of those civilians including children who were martyred in Sayedabad district of Maidan/Wardak province couple of days ago, BNA reported.
In the meeting which was held in Arg yesterday, Sayed Rahim Satar and Hajji Janan briefed the president about the incident and security situation in Maidan/Wardak province and demanded the government to stabilize security there. They also demanded the government to construct a madrassa after the name of the martyrs there. The President once again offered condolence and expressed sympathy with the families of the victims and said after returning from Europe he called the Wardak governor and offered his condolence. The perpetrators of the tragic incident would be referred to judiciary, the president said, assuring justice would be ensured in the case. In the meeting also attended by acting defense minister Mohammad Masoom Stanekzai and chief of army staff General Qadam Shah Shaheem, the president promised to build madrassa by his own money after the name of the martyrs there in Wardak. The President Ghani also added that he would visit Wardak in near future to listen to the problems and suggestions of the residents.
