Nine Taliban Militants Kills, Nine Wounded

Kabul (BNA) Clashes took place among Taliban militants and Afghan National Police, in which 6 militants including their commander were killed and 8 others wounded in Faryab province last night.
Abdul Jamel Sadiqi district governor of Qysar told BNA, the clashes occurred while a group of armed rebels attacked on Bedagi, Zafarana Warkink security checkpoints, which forced with existence of Afghan National Police, as a result six militants including their commander killed and eight others were wounded.
According to Sadiqi, a local policeman was injured following the clashes, but his health condition is not critical.
Sadiqi further added, the clashes took placed while Afghan security forces launching an operation under the name of “Khanjar 16” in various parts of northwestern areas of the province, which so far caused more than 20 insurgents dead.
According to another report, following a clearing operation under the name of “Bawar Fatha” conducted by Afghan National Army to clean the area from existence of Taliban militants in different parts of Maiwand district, Kandahar province, as a result three armed oppositions were killed and another wounded.
