President Karzai Appoints Delegation To Review Civilian Casualties In Charkh

Kabul (BNA) In a joint operation launched on 2nd of August by ANA and foreign forces in outskirts of Charkh district of Logar province, a number of our countrymen were martyred and injured based on preliminary reports. 
The president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has approved the following delegation led by presidential Advisor Al-Haj Mohammad Tahir Safi for overall investigation and review of the incident:
1. General Abdul Qadir Akrami, a representative of general directorate of administrative affairs and secretariat of council of ministers as member.
2. A representative of ministry of defense as member.
3. Brigadier General Sadullah, a representative of national directorate of security as member.
4. Col. Farid, a representative of MoI as member.
5. Abdul Matin Iqrar, a representative of independent administrative of local organs as member.
The delegation is tasked to overall review the incident along with local officials, religious ulema, provincial council members, elders and influential figures and identifies reasons of the incident and urgently provides their joint report and suggestions to presidential palace.
100,000 afg is to be urgently provided through government’s emergency code as assistance for the delegation’s expenses.
MoD, MoI and NDS were tasked to seriously maintain security of the delegation.
