Foreign Minister Visits Tajikistan

Kabul (BNA) Foreign Minister Zarar Ahmad Usmani visited Tajikistan and held meeting with President Imam Ali Rahman, Foreign Minister Sarajudin Asilov and senior economic minister Sharif Rahimzada in Dushanbe the other day.
In the meeting matters pertaining mutual relations including enhancing trade and economic cooperation between the two neighboring states were discussed.
Creation of transit route between Afghanistan and China through Tajikistan and linking Afghanistan to the railway of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Russian, accelerating the process of power supply transition from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan onward to Pakistan via Afghanistan (KASA 1000) and inking tripartite transit trade agreement between Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Pakistan were discussed with Tajik officials.
Foreign Minister Usmani also conveyed the good wishes of President Karzai to his Tajik counterpart wherein he described Tajikistan as a brotherly country of Afghanistan.
The Tajikistan president for his part, in the meeting termed Afghanistan as trusted friend, saying Tajikistan has enjoyed the support of Afghanistan throughout history and hoped for further enhancing relations in the years ahead.
