Foreign Ministry Hands Letter To Pakistan Charge-d’ Affaires

Kabul (BNA) The ministry for foreign affairs summoned the charge-d’affaires of Pakistan embassy to Kabul the other day and handed over a letter in response to the letter of Pakistan foreign ministry sent to the embassy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Islamabad dated June 9th, 2014. According to the office of foreign ministry spokesman, the letter said, “the ministry for foreign affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan with due complement to the embassy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Kabul in response to letter dated June 9, 2014 of the foreign ministry of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan addressed to the embassy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Islamabad, written as following: Since the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has been suffering from terrorist groups and their sanctuaries in the region over the past successive years, and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is committed to fight the menace of terror and has repeatedly been calling for serious and honest cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in this regard.
Spreading terrorism in our region, particularly within the territory of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, no doubt is the product of the policy to use terrorism as instrument by Pakistani governments against Afghanistan with the notion to utilize it against countries in long term but safeguard itself, but the policy is dangerous and erroneous.
Pakistan is facing terrorist attacks today because the country itself facilitated the ground for terrorists to grow.
Recognizing terrorism as the common enemy of human beings, the menace has claimed countless victims from both Pakistan and Afghanistan and the government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan believes that the only way for ensuring peace and stability in the region, especially in Afghanistan and Pakistan is joint and serious fight for elimination of terrorist sanctuaries, their training centers and chocking the financial resources of terrorists.
Afghanistan as the main victim of terrorism is determined to fight the menace and believing that through joint struggle can overcome on menace of terror. Any kind of creating tension across the Durand Line and attempt to divert the public opinion with regard to identifying the reasons of terrorism is dangerous for our region. Afghanistan is able to repulse any aggression and response to any incursion to defend its national sovereignty, but prefers it joint fight against terrorism wherever it is and believes this policy serves co-existence and brotherhood between the people of both the countries.
Availing the opportunity, the ministry for foreign affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan renews its good wishes.
