Advocates Association Can Play Vital Role in Counter Corruption in Judicial Organs, VP

Kabul (BNA)  Leading bodies of Independent Advocates Association called on Second Vice President Sarwar Danesh yesterday.  In the meeting, second vice president stressed on role of the association in counter corruption in judicial organs.
Leading bodies of the association reported of the association works in particular holding general assembly of the association’s advocates, insisting on further coordination between judicial organs and the association.
Informing of cooperation with reviewing delegation tasked in a presidential decree for auditing financial affairs of the association, leading body of the association said that the delegation had the financial auditing document and it was needed the association could provide further document to the tasked delegation.
According to Rohullah Qarizada, financial affairs of the association is reviewed each year by relevant international organizations.
In the meeting, second vice president while considering holding general assembly of the association as a good step expressed happiness over membership of professional, experienced and energetic individuals in leading body of the association.
Danesh also by pointing that there had been only 400 advocates countrywide nearly ten years ago and currently there were 6400 advocates considered the situation as improving and considerable.
He also considered capacity building of advocates and attention to professional and empowerment of them as necessary.
Stressing on strengthening of respect to advocates, Danesh praised the association for cooperation in reviewing financial affairs of the association with tasked delegation of presidential office, considering media coverage of the association’s activities as necessary.
