Kabul (BNA) Nowadays, the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) are severely fighting extremist groups in some parts of the country, particularly in Kunduz, Takhar and Paktia provinces and some districts.
There might be two political or military reasons why war fueled in the country which are as follow:
1. Unsuccessful negotiations:
Pakistan and Afghanistan have opened the negotiation door on security issues with extremist groups since the last year. However, the move has been seriously followed this year, but it has not had fruitful outcomes.
After failure in negotiations, Pakistan has made effort to use its military option to exert pressure on the government of Afghanistan and reach its goal. Likewise, Pakistan intelligence agency is making effort to deploy extremist groups inside Afghanistan, particularly in southern provinces and control them from beyond the border. Pakistan may have two aims behind this action; first to show to the world that insurgency is inside Afghanistan and it belongs to this country and on the other, it tries to equip the terrorist groups to force Afghanistan enter a negotiation process to be in its benefit. Therefore, intensification of war has behind border reasons that have imposed on Afghan people and security forces.
2. The Taliban are striving not to concentrate their power on one spot, but to show the government their presence in different parts of the country. Fleeing of the Taliban from an area and their comeback, is a kind of their strategy and tactic. Currently, the burden of war is mostly being borne by the Afghan Special Forces throughout the country. However, the number of these forces is inadequate, but they have successfully accomplished their duty in military operations so far. The Afghan Special Forces must be qualitatively and quantitatively equipped to be more effective in very difficult situations. The Afghan security forces are the best in the region, which have bravely fought and imposed heavy casualties to the enemies until no, although, war has intensified, but the Afghan security forces are capable enough to defend all boundaries of the country. Therefore, the government of national unity should have a specific strategy so the enemies never think about worsening security situation of Afghanistan anymore.
