ANCT Shines In Int’l Competitions

Kabul (BNA) In an exclusive interview Farid Hotak, spokesperson for Afghanistan National Cricket Board (ANCB) said, Afghanistan National Cricket Team (ANCT) has traveled to Europe to contest with Ireland, during which Afghanistan has won the first match.
According to Hotak, due to weather problems, the Afghan cricket players couldn’t win the second match and in third one both countries have remained equal. After the forth contest with Ireland, Afghanistan will compete Holland, Hotak went on to say. Afghanistan and Ireland are among the second degree countries, and if Afghanistan wins the game, it will positively affect the country. Answering a question on participation of Afghanistan National Cricket Team in international contests, Hotak said, we are about to compete with many countries. The country’s cricket team not only enjoys special position in Afghanistan but also worldwide, Hotak added. Afghanistan’s cricket board is making effort to increase the number of cricket players. Answering a query, Hotak said, we will be the witness of disabled cricket players of Afghanistan and India in near future. On provincial programs, Hotak said, we have different programs in other provinces of the country, as recently we have signed an agreement on construction of a cricket playground in Kunduz, adding we ask the officials of the provinces to cooperate with us in construction of cricket playgrounds.
