Four Provinces’ Electoral Complaints Reviewed

Kabul (BNA) In a public session of Electoral Complaints Commission (ECC) held yesterday related to addressing electoral complaints of presidential candidates, electoral complaints of north-eastern provinces of the country were reviewed.
A spokesman for Electoral Complaints Commission Nadir Muhsini told journalists, “74 cases of complaints registered in northeastern zone including Baghlan, Takhar, Kunduz and Badakhshan provinces were reviewed, adding the commission is trying to review rest of the two zones’ complaints and separate issues in this regard will be addressed later.”
“In the session, dozens of the complaints registered against presidential candidates were addressed and reviewed,” Muhsini added.
The ECC spokesman further said anybody involved in irregularity, fraud and violation in the election process would be responsive to ECC and the commission would decide. According to Muhsini, ECC would take step related to those cases registered against employees of Independent Election Commission. Nevertheless, ECC would declare its decision related to those cases registered against government employees and officials to IEC and relevant organs.
