President Terms Justice, National Unity & Coordination Key To Development

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has said that the people of Afghanistan can reconstruct their war-ravaged country with national unity, coordination and justice.
He made the remarks in meeting with tribal elders and representatives of tribal councils here in Arg during Eid congratulation meeting the other day. Speaking on behalf of others, Mohammad Yaqub Ahmadzai the deputy on coordination of Jirgas with the ministry for frontiers and tribal affairs, besides congratulating the president and the whole nation on the occasion of Eid-Al-Ahda said that the people’s councils is essential for achieving lasting peace in the country. Mohammad Ismael Qasimyar and Abdul Rahim Pashtunyar also spoke on the occasion. After listening to the remarks of the elders, the president pointed out that the councils of people can a bridge the gap between people and government, adding the country can be reconstructed by ensuring justice, unity and coordination in society. Afghanistan won’t have a strong administration and working system unless poverty is alleviated and all Afghans see themselves in the government, the president pointed out. The country can’t make progress in the absence of justice in society, the president further said. Describing the role of elders as significant in stabilizing peace, security, good governance and the rule of law in the country, the president called upon elders and chieftains to stand alongside the national security forces and appreciate their sacrifices in defending the independence of the country.
