Kabul (BNA) Pugwash an international organization has declared that it has prepared a 19–article peace plan to provide an opportunity for peace between Afghanistan and Taliban.
For this purpose, Pugwash recently held a meeting in Kabul with participation of some Jihadi and political figures to express their views regarding to issue. According BNA reporter, Pro. Paolo Cotta-Ramusino head of Pugwash has said that he has discussed the plan with Afghan government and the representatives of Taliban in Qatar. Khalil Sapi the head of Pugwash office in Kabul has said that for the meeting the representatives of more than 40 political parties and jihadi figures have invited to discuss and exchange their views on 19-article proposal for ensuring ceasefire and restoring stability in to Afghanistan. The efforts made in a time, Taliban denying holding any peace talks with Afghan government, have asked all its members to continue fighting against Afghan government.
However, recent reports indicate that the political leadership of Taliban in Qatar, adopting a new stance, has expressed their readiness for direct talks with America. Taliban political office in Qatar has declared certain prerequisites for commencing peace talks including ceasefire, recognizing Taliban’s political office in Qatar and eliminating the names of Taliban from the black list of United Nations. Earlier to this, the leaders of Taliban holding a meeting in their political office in Qatar have talked about on ways of holding peace talks with Afghan side. In the same time, they instructed their militants not to target public institutes and civilians. However, currently the group releasing a video has expressed their willingness for restarting Afghan peace talks, but some of them supporting by their foreign supporters repeatedly have challenged inters-Afghan peace talks. Adul Salam Zaif the former ambassador of Taliban to Islamabad and Mullah Manan Nayazi the deputy head of a section of Taliban, have asked organizations such as Pugwash to mediate for ensuring peace and creating an understanding atmosphere and insisted on holding peace talks inside Afghanistan. Pugwash is a Canadian international organization that efforts for ensuring peace settling disputes in different parts of the world. Pugwash in the series of its efforts, held a session in Qatar on Afghan peace last year.
